The Best Tanzania photo safari takes you to a photographer’s wonderland for the Great Migration of the wildebeest and plains animals. The great migration is one of the seven wonders of the animal kingdom, and it sounds cliche, but it must be seen to be believed is 1000% accurate in this case. It’s almost impossible to imagine more than a million animals migrating across Tanzania and into Kenya and back again. The animals are in perpetual motion following the rains and the lush grass it creates. I’ve planned our safari to be in sync with the wildebeest calving season, and 1000s of wildebeest give birth. The predators are also aware of the timing. There will be high numbers of big cats and other predators stalking the migration. The increased activity is excellent for your photography.
During the Tanzania Photo Safari, you will visit all of Tanzania’s significant ecosystems, including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu Plains, and of course, the iconic Serengeti. The camps have been chosen with care to maximize photographing the Great Migration. One lodge actually relocates their tents to be as close as possible to the action without interfering with the circle of life.
The Best Tanzania Photo Safari will be an event you’ll never forget. Thankfully you’ll have a bounty of images to relive the experience until you return for another safari!
