Best Iceland Photography Workshop Highlights
Iceland is like catnip for landscape photographers with an incredible number of one-of-a-kind photographic opportunities. There are arguable more “perfect” photography opportunities per square mile in Iceland than any place else in the world. Our 10-day tour of Iceland focuses on the South Coast and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The landscape will be aglow with awe-inspiring fall colors and incredible rock formations, waterfalls, and mountains. The northern lights will hopefully grace us with their presence, giving the primordial landscapes an otherworldly glow.
Fall is a short season in Iceland, but our photography checklist is long!
And MUCH MORE!
We will be traveling with an Icelandic guide that is also a skilled photographer. We will follow the light and not the crowds arriving in the most photogenic locations at just the right moments.
We will get our start exploring the active volcanic region along the Reykjanes Peninsula. The currently active Geldingadalur may have gone back to sleep before we arrive. Still, the alien landscape will be the perfect beginning to our photographic journey around Iceland in Fall.
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is best known by photographers for the picturesque Mount Kirkjufell and its neighboring waterfall. Even so, the area offers so much more with moving landscapes and an abundance of beautiful seascapes. We will spend time in this magical place with the major sights, stunning sunsets, and perhaps a northern lights show at Mount Kirkjufell.
The famed South Coast is the most visited region in Iceland and obviously needs to be part of our tour. With the help of our guides numerous local connections, we’ll go off the “tourist” path and photograph more of Iceland’s beauty with fewer tourists.
