The Best Eastern Andes Bird Photography Workshop will take you to the stupendous and absurdly “birdy” eastern slope of the Andes Mountains. The height of Andes prevents many bird species from traveling from one side to the other. If you want to maximize your new bird species, you must visit the eastern and western slopes.
During this grand Ecuadorian bird photography workshop, you will photograph birds and mammals on 3 private reserves that cover 4 unique eco-systems. Ecuador is home to 1640 bird species, and over 1000 of them are found in the region we will explore.
We will be staying and photographing the birds at ecologically friendly lodges created explicitly for
birding photography. There are more active feeders than we can count, and many are bird specific to enhance our chances with the local rarities.
This is also a teaching workshop and not merely a tour. Every day we will have group downloads and image reviews. I will be by your side to help with camera settings and, in general, make sure that you create your best images.
